I was on the path to becoming an interpreter, dreaming of traveling the world and being immersed in other cultures. But, a professional photo taken as I performed tango for an international charity event changed my life course. I realized then, the thrill of seeing a beautiful image of myself, full of passion for life, was something I needed to give to others.

My Story
Learning three languages and living abroad helped me understand that communication is more than the language we speak. After 10+ years of helping couples prepare for the photography aspect of their wedding day, I have the experience to hear and implement their vision, make appropriate suggestions to the timeline, and can easily adapt to an evolving situation.
A lifetime of dance performances and competitions has taught me the importance of precise, intentional movement, and the patience to teach anyone to move with grace. My approach to portraiture draws on my ability to portray emotion and personality through movement.
Through my Master’s degree in new media photojournalism, I gained insight on how to let a moment unfold naturally, candidly, to document raw emotion. I can tell a story with a single image, or compose a coherent series, bringing every step of your story to life.
Je parle le français couramment, y hablo español también! I used to live in the Loire Valley and Seville in southern Spain. I received a BS in Business and French Language & Culture from American University, and hold French and Spanish translation certifications.

Having spent countless hours taking self-portraits, I understand the importance of feeling relaxed and safe to express yourself in front of a camera. I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
One of five grand prize winners of #202Fotos, my self-portrait was featured at FotoWeekDC 2017 and in the 202Creates 2017 Exhibition at SXSW WeDC house in Austin, TX.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m on the water, dancefloor, or in the air. To keep my creativity fresh and flowing, I paint watercolor art, write and illustrate children’s books, and accept private commissions.
I live in downtown Washington DC with Blossom, my Yorkipoo, and travel frequently throughout the US and France.
